Explosion! There has been an explosion of opportunity with the DoD Innovation Ecosystem. NSIN, DIU, Sparks, DHA–it’s hard to keep track. AiDA (Acquisition in the Digital Age) organizes these opportunities.
Many opportunities are organized by how you define your technology readiness level on a scale of 1 – 9. There are some programs, like through NSIN, that have programs from fellowships through startups. Programs under “Challenge” are also good networking to build relationships important for traction. The majority have some affiliation with the federal SBIR/STTR programs.
One missing resource is APEX (Academic partnership Engagement Experiment). The CTC works with APEX on Air Force SBIR/STTRs. They provide best practices on templates; mapped examples on Air Force organization; and one-on-one technical services.
