The pre-release period is a time when interested applicants can look through the announcements for potential topics that might fit their capabilities and guidelines. However, guidelines and topics might change before the due date, so be sure to monitor and check in with topics of interest. Access more information on the topics here.
Prerelease is an important part of the DoD process because it is the only time that applicants are allowed to contact the Technical Person of Contact (TPOC) and discuss details of the topics. Once the ‘official’ release occurs, applicants will not be able to talk with the TPOC directly.
The CTC looks forward to helping applicants prepare for submission. Consider contacting us for information on the SBIR Preparation Micro-grant, that provides up to $9,000 towards hiring a grant consultant. https://wisconsinctc.org/programs/sbir-and-sttr-guidance/sbir-sttr-assistance-micro-grant/
