Twenty-five entries representing broad sectors such as advanced manufacturing, business services, information technology, and life sciences will compete in the finalist round of the 2024 Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest. - Neurosetta of Madison, enabling disease modeling and quantitative high-throughput screening to uncover risk factors that can perturb neurodevelopment and cause neurological disorders
- Nommli of Middleton, making cultural exploration effortless and enjoyable for families through culinary experiences
- Safepro Technologies of Dousman, saving lives through immediate action, safe separation, and response
- Scriptive of Dodgeville, empowering young minds through writing and artistry
- Septillionth of Whitefish Bay, developing a portable lead detector for on-site testing of water in wells, homes, and water-treatment facilities
- Spectacle Health of Fitchburg, assisting people with enrolling in Medicare plans
- Spraycision of Madison, improving spray applications of specialty crops through an advanced level crop detection system
- TRT Speech Labs of Racine, improving communications through bio-inspired algorithms
- Venus Rehabilitation Technologies of Shorewood, developing a device to improve mobility after a stroke
What’s next? Finalists will submit a 15-minute pitch deck for review by a panel of nearly 70 judges. In late May, the “Diligent Dozen,” aka the top 12, will be chosen. On June 5, they will present at the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference, where winners will be announced live on June 6!
